What’s the big deal in Iran?

Why are we so focused on Iran right now instead of keeping our government on the right track. Foundingbloggers.com on their front page had eight articles on Iran and seven on America one of which is Michael Jackson dying! I admit that Iran is a huge issue, but it is also a cover-up that people are using to get us to fight over Iran instead of Government Health Care, Paygo, and cap and trade!  America, we need to wake up and see the lie within our government.  We need to wake up to the real issues.  Gay Rights, isn’t a real issue, Abortion isn’t a real issue, Gun Control isn’t a real issue. The real issue is Communism/Socialism/Fascism Vs. Republic/Founding Fathers. We need to focus on getting new people into Congress, we need to get Founding Father Constitutionalists, not Democrats, not Republicans. We need good strong, sturdy, people whom we as the people can trust. America wake up and see the real issues.

Government Health Care

I have a friend who visited the USSR right after it broke up and stopped “officially” being Communist, but they still had government health care. She had brought her own needle when she went to get shots, because they reused the needles, but they ignored her when she tried to give it to him. They gave her a shot with a needle that the doctor had used many times. Then the doctor put the cotton ball that he used to wipe the needle on a table with many others, so that he could count how many shot he gave. As my friend walked out another person went in and got a shot with the same needle. Thankfully my friend didn’t get any disease from the reused but she could have.

This is just one example of the problems with government health care. So why do we want government health care? There is a simple answer that even the most hardcore conservative can understand: it is easier! It is because of this that we will resort to worse health care. Famous 1850’s French essayist Frederick Bastiat said this:

“Now, labor in itself is pain, and a man being naturally inclined to avoid pain, it follows, and history proves it, that whenever [government programs] is less burdensome than labor, it prevails; and neither religion nor morality can, in this case, prevent it from prevailing.”

Thus as Obama’s new health care plan is easier than paying for health care everybody wants it. I just have one word of warning Frederick Bastiat said:

“It is the nature of men to rise against the injustice of which they are victims.”

We will rise up hopefully peacefully but possible with a revolution. It is my hope that we will see the injustice and stop it before it leads to a war.

Problems with Public Schooling (Morals)

In today’s society we expect most to all children to go to a government run public schooling system. There are many problems with this system though, most of which are not generally discussed. My biggest problem with the public school system is that it no longer just teaches readin’, ‘rittin’, and ‘rithmetic, but it now teaches morals too! Milton Friedman who was a famous 20th century economist, and a Nobel prize winner in economics, said this:

“Public schools teach religion, too–not a formal, theistic religion, but a set of values and beliefs that constitute a religion in all but name. The present arrangements abridge the religions freedom of the parents who do not accept the religion taught by the public schools yet are forced to pay to have their children indoctrinated with it, and to pay to still more to have their children escape indoctrination.”

A modern day example of this is the teaching of evolution. Our kids are being taught that we all evolved from monkeys and that God doesn’t exist. Teachers may not say right out that God doesn’t exist but the overall result is to teach our children to be atheists. This can be seen in the increasing number of atheists among the younger generation. Public schools have started to accept the ways of the world instead of sticking to strong, good, morals, upon which our country was founded.

So our tax dollars are being spent to teach our children morals that we do not always agree with and the parents have no control over what their children are being taught unless they homeschool them or take them to private school.
