Google Searches now Decide our Economic State

According to economist Larry Summers America is coming out or economic recession because there have been less Google searches for “economic depression”. I highly doubt that Americans not searching Google with the specific phrase “economic depression” will make a very large boost in our economy. To me it doesn’t make sense. So tell Larry Summers that we are still going through economic troubles and Google “economic depression” today!

This shows the amount of times people searched “Economic Depression” on Google.

  1. Wow. I can’t believe anyone would say something so stupid. Please tell me it isn’t that straightforward.

  2. It doesn’t seem like that far out of an argument, it could be that during the hight of a modern depression people are more inclined to find out what an economic depression really is, so it really could be that we are at a tipping point.

  3. Maybe Google Search result depend on economic condition, not vice versa.
